To: Moscow – Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars, Lenin. Copied to: Chairman of the Central Executive Committee, Sverdlov.

A telegram from Samara reports to the effect that part of the Ufa Socialist Revolutionaries has pronounced in favour of a coalition with us for the purpose of fighting Kolchak. The Communists turned it down. If this is true, it is essential the decision be changed. Agreement should be accepted as it is the strongest who will gain
